Question 1060777: Please explain, I don't understand how this works. or the method behind it.
20 students take a test, these are the scores: 93, 84, 97, 98, 100, 78, 86, 100, 85, 92, 72, 55, 91, 90, 75, 94, 86, 60, 81, 95; find the mean, mode, and the median range.
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Mean or average: Add the values and divide by 20.
Mode : Make note of how many times a number comes up, the mode is the one with the most appearances. If you have 1,1,2,3 then the mode is 1.
Median: Order them from smallest to largest, since it's an even number of values, average the 10th and 11th values.
Range: Find the maximum value, find the minimum value. Subtract the min from the max. That's the range.
