Question 105447: You role a six sided die 30 times. What is the theoretical probability of rolling a 1?
Answer by checkley75(3666) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I BELIEVE THE FORMULA IS P=1-(5/6)^30
IT WORKS FOR THE FIRST ROLL
P=1-(5/6)^1
P=1-5/6
P=1/6
P=.1666
FOR THE SECOND ROLL
P=1-(5/6)^2
P=1-(25/36)
P=1-.69
P=.31
THE MORE ROLLS THE HIGHER THE PROBABILITY OF ROLLING A 1.
THE PROBABILITY APPROACHES 1 OR 100%.
