Question 1048250: Hi there, if you wouldn't mind helping me on this I would really appreciate it!
If X is normally distribution with mean μ = 5 and standard deviation σ = 10. What is the probability P(X > 7.5) ?
Thank you for your help!

Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P ( X > 7.5 ) = 1 - P ( X < 7.5 )
:
z score = (7.5 - 5) / 10 = 0.25
:
now check the z-tables for the probability associated with 0.25
:
P ( X < 7.5 ) = 0.5987
:
***********************************
P ( X > 7.5 ) = 1 - 0.5987 = 0.4013
