Here's my assumption.
60% male
40% female
Of those,
5% of 60% are male children.
10% of 40% are female children.
So if there are 100 people total,
60 are males, of those 57 are adult males, 3 are child males.
40 are females, of those 36 are adult females, 4 are child females.
