place and the moisture content of a sample of the raw
material (both in percentages) on 12 days yielded the
following results:

(i) Make a scatter plot to verify that it is reasonable to
assume that the regression of y on x is linear
(ii) Fit a straight line by the method of least squares,
(iii) Estimate the moisture content when humidity is 45%.
(iv) Determine the correlation coefficient.

When the humidity is a certain value, the moisture content is about 27% of the humidity (in per cent) plus about 1.
The correlation coefficient is +0.914
