In a product test, 25% liked the flavour and 30% liked the bottle design. If these two events are independent, what percentage liked either the flavour or the bottle design or both? (Give your answer to one decimal place.)

It is an or problem and independent,
probability is flavor liked is 0.25
probability of liking design is 0.30
probability of liking both is the product, or 0.075
That is double counted, however, so we subtract that from 0.55 and get 0.475.
To one decimal place, it is 0.5
