In elementary algebra, a trinomial is a polynomial consisting of three terms; in other words, a trinomial is thee sum of three monomials. It can be factored using simple steps

In linguistics, a trinomial is a fixed expression which is made from three words; e.g. "lights, camera, action", "signed, sealed, delivered".
