I got as far as
Use polynomial long division to divide 4x^3 + x^2 + 17x – 15 by -x^2 – x – 5

(-x^2-x-5)*(-4x) = 4x^3+4x^2+20x
(-x^2-x-5)*(-4x) = 4x^3+4x^2+20x.
(-x^2-x-5)*(3) = -3x^2-3x -15.
(-x^2-x-5)*(-4x+3) =4x^3 + x^2+17x -15
and now I'm lost?
