1. Since there is no negative sign in front of the parenthesis you can get rid of the parenthesis (if there was a negative sign in front, you would have to change the signs of the terms inside of the parenthesis as you can get rid of parenthesis)
2p^3 + 6p^2 +10p +9p^3 +11p^2 +3p
Now you can combine like terms (when adding or subtracting like terms, they must have the same variable raised to the same exponent.

2p^3 + 9p^3 +6p^2 + 11p^2 + 10p +3p

1. If you remember order of operations say the first thing we must do is parenthesis; by looking inside parenthesis I can see we do not need to simplify anything there so my goal is to get rid of the parenthesis. Notice that we will have to distribute a negative sign to two of these parenthesis
7x^2-x+1 - 2x^2 + x +3 - 5x^2 -3x +10 Now combine like terms
7x^2 - 2x^2 - 5x^2 - x + x -3x +1 +3 +10
0x^2 - 3x +14
-3x +14
