using lower case instead of upper case. The possible roots to check are -7, -1, -7/2, -1/2, 7, 1, 7/2, 1/2.

The synthetic division will be less comfortable with some of them than with others to check. Do the easier ones first. Also know that once you find one root, you can find the other two using either factoring or formula for solution to quadratic equation.

I have not done the root-checking although you did ask for it.
