Width of path = 'x'
Length = 2029 + 2x
Width = 167 + 2x
Perimeter = 2 x Length + 2 x Width
4496 = 2(2029 + 2x) + 2(167 + 2x)
4496 = 4058 + 4x + 334 + 4x
Collect like terms
8x = 4496 - 4392
8x = 104
x = 13 feet
Width of path = 13 feet
