On your problem the least common denominator (lcm) is 2*3 or 6
-------------
Rewrite each of your fractions with the lcm as its denominator:
(2*10/lcm) - (3*5/lcm)

Combine the numerators over the lcm:
[20-15]/lcm
Simplify
5/6
