Question 966582: Hey, could someone help me with this one?
Form a polynomial with real coefficients with the following degree and zeros
Degree: 4 Zeros: 3, 2-2i Multiplicity: 2
Thanks for any help.
ALAN3354, DO NOT ANSWER THIS.

Answer by josgarithmetic(39617)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You say, "Degree 4", and then listed the equivalent of THESE zeros:

The Zeros:
3
2-2i
2-2i
-
Since you show that complex number as one of the zeros (twice according to multiplicity of 2), you must also have .....

The Zeros:
3
2-2i
2+2i
2-2i
2+2i
Because complex zeros occur in conjugate pairs.

This will not work as degree 4. This must be degree 5.
