Question 959108: Solve: (6x^1000 -17x^562 + 12x + 26)/( x + 1)

Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve: (6x^1000 -17x^562 + 12x + 26)/( x + 1)
-------
f(-1) = 6*1 - 17(1) + 12(-1) + 26 = 3
-----
That tells you the remainder after division is 3
------------------
It also tells you that x = -1 is not a root of the numerator.

Stan H.
