Question 94640: Factor Completely. Note: Can be worked without expanding.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x+1)^3*(4x-9)-(16x+9)*(x+1)^2
Common factor: (x+1)^2
=[x+1]^2[(x+1)(4x-9)-(16x+9)
=[x+1]^2[4x^2-5x-9-16x-9]
=[x+1]^2[4x^2-21x-18]
=[x+1]^2[4x+3][x-6]
