Question 91612: Please Help!!!!!
Solve graphically and algebraically.
2x-3y=6 x+2y=10

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-3y=6 x+2y=10
--------
Solve each equation for Y:
y = (2/3)x - 2
y = (-1/2)x + 5
-------------
Graphing to find the solution:

---------------
Solving algebraically:
Since the "y's" are the same:
(2/3)x - 2 = (-1/2)x+5
(2/3 + 1/2)x = 7
[(4+3)/6]x = 7
(7/6)x = 7
(1/6)x = 1
x = 6
Substitute to solve for y:
y = (2/3)6 -2 = 2
Solution: (6,2)
