i dont remember how to multipy fractions. could you show me how to solve the probelm so that I may use it to solve a few other math problems.

Convert to equivalent fraction

Combine like terms
Since you don't have an equal sign, this is not an equation. So you cannot solve for x. So you can only simplify the expression.

Use FOIL to get:
F: x^2/4
O: (-1/5)x
I: (9/16)x
L: (9/20)
----------------
= (1/4)x^2 +(29/80)x+(9/20)
