Question 890009: Problem states to factor completely. (^ is the power)
4w^7+22w^6+10w^5
Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2w^5(2w² + 11w + 5) {factored 2w^5 out}
= 2w^5(2w² + 10w + w + 5) {split 11w into two terms whose coefficients multiply to get 10 and add to get 11}
= 2w^5[2w(w + 5) + 1(w + 5)] {factored 2w out of 1st two terms and 1 out of last two terms}
= 2w^5(2w + 1)(w + 5) {factored (w + 5) out of the two terms}
