Question 88895: Can you please explain in detail for me...Thank You...
2/ - 1/ = 4/

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/{y^2-7y+12} - 1/{y^2-9} = 4/{y^2-y-12}
Factor where you can to get:
[2/[(y-3)(y-4)] - 1/[(y-3)(y+3)] = 4/[(y-4)(x+3)]
Multiply thru by (y-3)(y-4)(y+3) to get:
2(y+3) - [y-4] = 4(y-3)
2y+6-y+4 = 4y-12
3y=22
y= 22/3
