I assume you mean:
y%5E2%2B5%2B6y
If so, you did write the terms down correctly in descending powers of the variable, like this:
y%5E2%2B6y%2B5
However, the problem also says "factor" if I am reading it right... so you need to factor this expression. Do you know how to do that? This is the result:
highlight%28%28y%2B1%29%28y%2B5%29%29
If you multiply out this binomial, you get the original expression back.
