3.)4xy^2+3xy-2x^2-8x^2+xy-xy

4xy^2+3xy-2x^2-8x^2+xy-xy
On the far right we can see that xy - xy cancels out.
We are left with 4xy^2+3xy-2x^2-8x^2.
We can now combine like terms.
4xy^2+3xy-2x^2-8x^2
4xy^2 + 3xy - 10x^2
Factor out an x and then divide every term by x for a final answer.
Answer: x(4y^2 + 3y - 10x)
