Question 864529: write each polynomial in standard form. then name each polynomial based on its degree and number of terms.

i tried this:
(4)(y^3)=4y^3
(4)(y^2)=4y^2
4xy^3-4xy^2=4y^3-4y^2
4y^3-4y^2+3
4y^3-4y^2+3y

Standard form means placing the terms with highest degree first.

The highest exponent lends a name: 0: constant, 1: linear, 2: quadratic, 3: cubic, 4: quartic, 5: quintic

Number of terms lends a name: 1: monomial, 2: binomial, 3: trinomial, 4 or more: polynomial,

This is a cubic polynomial
