Question 86427: can anyone help me with this: find the vertical asymptoe(s), if any, for f(x)=(4x-7)/(x^2+5x+4)
Answer by josmiceli(19441)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

For what values of x does f(x) approach infinity?
Rewrite the equation, factoring the denominator

The denominator is zero for x=-4 and x=-1
That is when f(x) approaches infinity, so those
are the vertical asymptotes
