Question 86303: I have a question that states: determine the right-hand and left-hand behavior of the graph of the function f(x)=-4x^5+3x^2-4/2. Can someone help me with this? I have no clue how to figure this out.

determine the right-hand and left-hand behavior of the graph of the function
f(x)=-4x^5+3x^2-4/2.
------------
It might be asking for the end behavior of the function.
--------
As x gets larger and larger (right hand behavior) the term -4x^5 determines
what happens to the y value of the function. Since -4x^5 becomes very negative as x gets larger and larger the right-hand behavior is described as follows:
"As x goes to positive infinity, f(x) goes to negative infinity".
--------------
As x gets more and more negative -4x^5 gets more and more negative.
The left-hand behavior is described as follows:
"As x goes to negative infinity, f(x) goes to negativive infinity".
