Hi,
factor
x^3 + 8x^2 + 2x +16 = 0
The factor theorem states that a polynomial f(x) has a factor (x − k) if and only if f(k) = 0
Synthetic Division using root x = -8
-8 1 8 2 16
-8 0 -16
1 0 2 0
(x+8)(x^2 + 2)
or (x+8)(x - )(x + )
