So far I tried to find the lowest common denominator, and multiplied it by the numerator on each side. I'm having trouble finishing it though. I get to a point where my numbers can't be factored any further. I'm not sure if I'm even on the right track or not. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

(A^2 - 4)/(A - 2) = A + 3
Factor to simplify the equation:
[(A-2)(A+2)/(A-2)]=A+3
Cancel the A-2 factors to get:
A+2 = A+3
Subtract A from both sides:
2=3
--------
This tells yu the equation is a contrdiction.
There is no solution.
