First, please don't try to use horizontal fraction bars on algebra.com. They rarely come out looking good and they are often hard to tell what it really is. Instead, put the numerator and denominator in parentheses and use a slash. For example, your fraction would be (4x)/(x^2+x-6).
In your problem the "excluded values" would be those that would make the denominator zero (since division by zero is undefined). So we find them by setting the denominator to zero and solving:
