start by making the equation equal to 0.

each of these coefficients can be divided by 3.

you can't factor this number so you need to use the quadratic equation. We will ignore the 3 for now

simplify

now we will bring the 3 back from earlier

25x^2 - 20x - 4 = 0
----
x = [20 +- sqrt(400-4*25*-4)]/50
----
x = [20 +- sqrt(800)]/50
----
x = [20+-20sqrt(2)]/50
----
x = [(2+-sqrt(5)]/5
-----
Factors::
(x - (2+sqrt(5))/5) and (x-(2-sqrt(5))/5)
