If you're trying to combine like terms then:
x%28x-7%29+%2B+9%28x-7%29 Since we have like terms of (x-7) we can combine these terms. If we let y=x-7 we get
xy+%2B+9y Now we can see the combination easier
%28x%2B9%29y
%28x%2B9%29%28x-7%29 replace y with x-7. This is the factored form
