Question 76432: Can someone Solve the equation using the zero factor property? Thanks!
25y^2+4=20y
Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
25y^2 + 4 = 20y
:
Subtract 20 from both sides, arrange as a quadratic equation:
25y^2 - 20y + 4 = 0
:
Looks like a perfect square (25 & 4 are perfect squares), factors easily to:
(5y - 2)(5y - 2) = 0
5y = +2
y = 2/5
