X=(-12+-SQRT[12^2-4*1*-3])/2*1
X=(-12+-SQRT[144+12])/2
X=(-12+-SQRT156)/2
X=(-12+-12.50)/2
X=(-12+12.50)/2
X=.50/2
X=.25 ANSWER
X=(-12-12.5)/2
X=24.5/2
X=12.25 ANSWER
