Question 75748: Factor each polynomial completely. To begin, state which method should be applied as the first step, given the guidelines of this section. Then continue the exercise and factor each polynomial completely.

THE FIRST STEP FOR THEE TYPE OF EQUATIONS WHERE BOTH TERMS ARE SQUARES IS TO FACTOR EACH SQUARE & THEN MAKE EACH FACTORED TERM A (-) & A (+) OF THE SQUAREROOTS. THUS:

(M^4-9N^4) THE SQUARE ROOT OF M^4 IS M^2 & THE SQUARE ROOT OF 9N^4 IS 3N^2
SO WE HAVE (M^2-3N^2)(M^2+3N^2)
