Question 75707: Find a polynomial f(x) of degree 3 that has the indicated zeros -2 1 5 and satisfies the given condition f(3)= -40.
I get most of the problem. THe thing that I dont understand is how they got from 2(x+2)(x-1)(x-5) to 2(x^3 - 4x^2 - 7x + 10)
thank you

I dont understand is how they got from 2(x+2)(x-1)(x-5) to 2(x^3 - 4x^2 - 7x + 10)
----------
2(x+2)(x-1)(x-5)
=2(x+2)(x^2-6x+5)
=2[x^3-6x^2+5x+2x^2-12x+10)
=2[x^3-4x^2-7x+10]
===========
