Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y-1/x+3=-3/4
y-1 = -3/4 *(x+3) [multiply both sides of = by (x+3) ]
y-1 = -(3/4)*x -(9/4) [multiply -(3/4) by (x+3) ]
y = -(3/4)x - (9/4) + 4/4 [add 1 to both sides of = and convert 1 to 4/4 ]
y = -(3/4)x - (5/4)
the y intercept is (0,-(5/4)) and the slope is -(3/4)
