Start with the given problem
Factor the numerators of the 2 fractions. factors to and factors to
Factor out a 2 from the 2 denominators
Multiply the 2 fractions by multiplying the 1st fraction by the reciprocal of the 2nd fraction
Cancel like terms
This is what your left with after the cancellations
Combine the 2 fractions by multiplying them
Notice the 2's cancel
This is the final simplified form.
