Answer by josgarithmetic(39620) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find two integers whose product is -36 and whose sum is -5.
Remember F.O.I.L. ?
The coefficient on the x term in the trinomial is the result of the sum of the two numbers which you must find. The Outer and the Inner multiplications for the two binomials give you the numbers to sum.
Suggestion: Look at 4 and 9; -4 and -9; -4 and 9; and 4 and -9
