2t^2+7t=4. THANK YOU
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I need help in solving equations by factoring:
2t^2+7t=4.
2t^2+7t-4
Use the quadratic formula to get:
t=[-7+-sqrt(49-4*2*-4)]/4
t=[-7+-sqrt(81)]/4
t=[-7+-9]/4
t=(-7+9)/4 = 1/2
or
t=(-7-9)/4 = -4
The factors are:
(t+4)(2t-1)
