Question 732350: I need help finding a polynomial equation that is suitable for creating a roller coaster which has 2 maxima and/or minima, has to "dive below ground at least once", and also starts at 250 feet.
I have tried using simple equations but I am not getting any luck and they are not working for me.
Any suggestions please?

I need help finding a polynomial equation that is suitable for creating a roller coaster which has 2 maxima and/or minima, has to "dive below ground at least once", and also starts at 250 feet.
----------
(x - 100)*(0.5x-150)*(x)/1000 + 250 is a scary ride.
-------------
A sinusoid would be better: f(x) = 250cos(x)
