Question 73038: for the equation x-sqrtx=0 perform the following. Solve for all values of x that satisfies the equation. Then, once graphed how does the graph relate to the question asked?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Add to both sides
}Square both sides
Subtract from sides

Factor out an x
One solution

The graph of represents the x intercepts. In a sense, y=0 which allows you to find the x-intercepts.
Notice the x-intercepts at x=0 and x=1 (it may be hard to see the x=0 solution)
Hope this helps.
