Question 728060: 6(-9+1)
Answer by erika514(39) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For this problem, we are just going to use order of operations, which is PEMDAS(Parentheses,Exponents, Mutiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction). We are going to use this order to solve our problem. Here we go! For our first step we need to see if we have any values in parentheses. We do, so we are going to evaluate or solve what is inside of the parentheses. So we add -9+1 which equals -8. S now what we have left is 6(-8). Next we need to see if we have any exponenents and we do not. we can multiply 6 times -8 as our last step to get -48 as our final answer.
