Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The question is worded:
Factor the following:
x(x+1)^4+(x+1)^5
Factor out (x+1)^4 because they both have (x+1)'s, and 4 is the smallest power
x(x+1)^4+(x+1)*(x+1)^4
(x+1)^4[x+(x+1)]
(x+1)^4(x+x+1)
(x+1)^4(2x+1)
Happy Calculating!!!!
