The graph doesn't work (something about a log in error, but I don't know)

Anyways, you can factor x^2 + x - 30 to get (x - 5)(x + 6)

So

x^2 + x - 30 = 0

is the same as

(x - 5)(x + 6) = 0

which breaks up into

x - 5 = 0 or x + 6 = 0

Solve each equation for x to get your two roots
