-3s^2-10s+8 Multiply each item by -1 makes it easier to factor. (at least for me)
3s^2+10s-8
(3s-2)(s+4)

Factor each of the following polynomials completely:
-3s^2 - 10s +8
= -3s^2=12s+2s+8
= -3s(s+4)+2(s+4)
= (s+4)(-3s+2)
