Question 704990: Simplify: 2+(4/(t-2))
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify: 2+(4/(t-2))
-------
least common denominator: t-2
-----
Write each term with (t-2) as its denominator:
-----
[2(t-2)/(t-2)] + [4/(t-2)]
--------
Combine the numerators over the least common denominator:
= [2t-4+4]/[t-2]
--------
= (2t)/(t-2)
