Question 69239: My question is about factoring a polynomial.
The objective is to factor:
27-64z^3.
This polynomial appears prime to me, but I am not sure if I am just forgetting to do something. Could I put it under a radical to get the cube roots of 27, 64, and z^3? Is that still factoring?
I am sorry, this question is not from a text book. I greatly appreciate your help with this.

Answer by Nate(3500) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
27 - 64z^3
(3)^3 - (4z)^3
(3 - 4z)(9 + 12z + 16z^2)
Check:
27 + 36z + 48z^2 - 36z - 48z^2 - 64z^3
27 - 64z^3
