Question 688311:

1/2(3m+2)= 1/3(5m+10) find the value of m

Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2(3m+2)= 1/3(5m+10)
(3M+2)/2=(5M+10)/3 CROSS MULTIPLY
2(5M+10)=3(3M+2)
10M+20=9M+6
10M-9M=6-20
M=-14 ANS.
PROOF:
(3*-14+2)/2=(5*-14+10)/3
(-42+2)/2=(-70+10)/3
40/2=60/3
20=20
