Question 677014: Can someone check my work please? I hope I'm not missing any steps and that I'm on the right track with this one. Thank you.
Multiply:(-x-2)(-4x^2+3x+3)
(-x - 2)(-4x2 + 3x + 3)
= (x + 2)(4x^2 - 3x - 3)
= 4x^3 - 3x^2 - 3x + 8x^2 - 6x - 6
= 4x^3 + 5x^2 - 9x - 6

You can optionally ignore this next section since you got the right answer and steps.

Here's how I would expand this out

(-x - 2)(-4x^2 + 3x + 3)

-1(x + 2)(-4x^2 + 3x + 3)

(x + 2)(-1)(-4x^2 + 3x + 3)

(x + 2)(4x^2 - 3x - 3)

x(4x^2 - 3x - 3) + 2(4x^2 - 3x - 3)

x(4x^2) + x(-3x) + x(-3) + 2(4x^2) + 2(-3x) + 2(-3)

4x^3 - 3x^2 - 3x + 8x^2 - 6x - 6

4x^3 + 5x^2 - 9x - 6
