How do you use foil? and how do you find the degree of an equation?
---------
FOIL example:
(3x-2)(2x+5)
----
F: (3x)(2x) = 6x^2 ::::: this term has the highest variable exponent
O: (3x)5 = 15x
I: (-2)(2x) = -4x
L: -2(5) = -10
-------------------
Combine the terms:
6x^2 + 11x -10
--------------------------
The degree of the polynomial is the power of the highest power term: 2
