f(x)=0 when:
x=0 or x+3=0 or x-1=0
x=0 or x=-3 or x=1
Therefore, the intervals to test are:
(-infinity,-3) or (-3,0) or (0,1) or (1,infinity)
For (-infinity,-3) test -4:
f(-4)=-4(-4+3)(-4-1)=-4(-1)(-5)=-20 <--negative, reject this interval
For (-3,0) test -1:
f(-1)=-1(-1+3)(-1-1)=-1(2)(-2)=4 <--positive, accept this interval
