SOLUTION: I really need help with this one. I have factored both the numerator and denominator and came up with 2(4a-7)/(a-3)(a-5). The problem is:
5a-12/a^2-8a+15 minus 3a-2/a^2-8a+15

Answer by 303795(602) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have done all the hard work but you have added rather than subtracted.
The minus(3a-2) needs the -1( the 1 is implied) multiplied by the (3a-2) to give -3a+2.
When you do the subtraction you end up with 2a-10 on the top which factorises to give 2(a-5) and the (a-5) will cancel with the one on the bottom.
I haven't given full instructions as you obviously know what you are doing and a small hint should be enough.
